Public and private sector holidays confirmed for Eid Al-Fitr in Abu Dhabi

It’s good news for employees looking to enjoy a long break for Eid Al-Fitr.

The UAE cabinet has announced the holidays for workers in the public and private sectors

Employees in the private sector will enjoy a four-day holiday according to an announcement by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emeritisation.

The break will begin on Monday June 3 and end on Thursday June 6 or Friday June 7, depending on the sighting of the moon.

The UAE’s moon sighting committee will announce the official end date, June 6 or 7, next week.

Government employees in the public sector will get a seven-day holiday beginning on June 2 and will return to work on Sunday June 9.
