Advice for postponed Trevor Noah Abu Dhabi show ticket holders

Fans of comedian Trevor Noah were left disappointed after he had to cancel his upcoming Abu Dhabi show due to illness.

The Daily Show host had been due to perform at du Arena on December 21.

But issues with bruised vocal cords have forced him to cancel a string of gigs, including the one in the UAE capital.

Organisers hope to reschedule the show for an as-yet unspecified date in 2019.

A statement on the Yas Island website says: "Due to unforeseen health issues, the Trevor Noah show scheduled for Friday Dec 21st at the du Forum has been postponed to a future date.

"We are working with the organisers to find the best suitable show date in 2019, which will be announced as soon as it is confirmed."

Ticket holders will automatically receive entry to the rescheduled date next year.

While those looking a refund instead are urged to contact Ticketmaster.

The South African star said in a statement on social media: "I hate cancelling shows but I also hate the thought of losing my voice forever.

"Thank you again for your love and support. I appreciate you."
