Free parking in Abu Dhabi for UAE National Day

Transport chiefs have announced motorists in Abu Dhabi can avail of two days of free parking to celebrate UAE National Day.

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi made the move to mark the 47th anniversary of the unificiation of the United Arab Emirates.

It means drivers won't have to stump up for parking on Sunday December 2 and Monday December 3 across Abu Dhabi.

Parking charges will resume at 8am on Tuesday December 4.

Motorists have been urged not to park in illegal areas during the holidays and not to obstruct the movement of traffic.
