Free breast cancer screening service launched in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi mall The Galleria is offering a free breast cancer screening service for all its visitors.

The shopping and dining destination has partnered with Pink Caravan, a UAE breast cancer initiative created by the non-profit society Friends of Cancer Patients.

Each visitor to the Pink Caravan booth will get a private breast cancer screening completely free of charge.

Experts in the field will also be on hand to answer any questions.

The event is being held to coincide with International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Running until October 7, the first 15 women to take part each day will also receive a free nail polish treatment, cupcake and macaron.

Emirati entrepreneur and artist Leila Al-Marashi has also created special tote bags that are being handed out to those who drop by the booth.

The Pink Caravan programme runs throughout the seven emirates every year, with a focus on reaching remote areas of the UAE.
