UAE public holidays 2018: When is Eid Al Adha?

It’s that time of year when many of us are eyeing up a nice holiday at home or abroad.

So you might be wondering when is the next chance for a long weekend without having to book time off work.

Many of the UAE’s public holidays are dependent on phases of the moon, which make it hard to be completely sure until a few days beforehand.

Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha is the next public holiday on the calendar and it looks like it may fall during the weekend, which should be good news for those looking a long break.

They are expected to fall on August 21 and August 22, which would be Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s likely many workers will get three days off in total, which will run into the weekend and mean five consecutive days off in total.

Maybe one to start planning a short getaway?

After that, the next long weekend will most likely be in December to mark UAE National Day.

The special event is held to commemorate the birth of the nation and will fall on December 2, which is a Sunday.
