In a 90th minute twist, it seems telecoms company du will be showing the World Cup in the UAE after all.
The screenings had been in jeopardy after beIN Sports channels disappeared from televisions in Abu Dhabi on June 2.
Broadcaster beIN said its contract with du had come to an end, meaning all of their channels would no longer be shown here on du boxes.
But apparently, du has now struck a deal to being those channels back, and with them, their package for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia should be available.
The tournament kicks off in Moscow on June 14, with hosts Russia facing Saudi Arabia.
Etisalat are also showing the tournament, with their package available for Dhs555 (plus VAT).
Keep your eyes peeled for our extensive World Cup previews, until then here’s a few suggestions of where you can head out for a match.
