Abu Dhabi is home to amazing arts and culture as well as a number of exception local talents.
Showcasing local artist and their ability, a new programme has launched to highlight the best young creative talents in the emirate.
Battle of the Arts, by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has been launched in cooperation with Qasr Al Hosn, Cultural Foundation, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Manarat Al Saadiyat and Berklee Abu Dhabi.
The competition is open to young people across artistic disciplines.
Children, teens and young adults can enter any of the ten competitions including Theatre and Voice by Berklee Abu Dhabi; Visual Arts by Louvre Abu Dhabi; a Multi-Disciplinary category by Qasr Al Hosn; Music and Visual Arts by Al Dar Academies; Photography by Manarat Al Saadiyat’s Photography Studio; Visual Arts by Manarat Al Saadiyat’s Art Studio; Spotlight on Talent by ADEK; and Arabic Calligraphy by Cultural Foundation’s Bait al Khatt.
The first round of winner will be selected by a jury panel from each partner organisation on September 3 and will be exhibited as an online showcase.
Winners from each category will also be entered into a People’s Choice competition where the UAE public can vote through the CulturALL Youth social media platforms.
Registration for the competitions is now open until August 24.
