Seven fun ways to keep kids in the UAE entertained at home

Spotify playlists that will help the kids to study

Having (the right) music playing in the background can really help the kids to stay focused while they are studying. Spotify has some great ready-made playlists that can help them to concentrate on what they need to get done over the following weeks – and will certainly make the whole process that much more enjoyable. Our favourites include ‘Study time starts now’, which includes lots of ethereal sounding music and ‘Studying with classical music’.

Laugh out loud

The Boy in the Dress was the first children’s book that David Walliams published, and now you can listen to it being narrated by the British comedian himself. Walliams is joined by fellow comedian Matt Lucas to tell the story, with plenty of laugh ou loud moments.

Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug and Cat Noir

There is something endearing about this group of high school students, particularly the two secret superheroes. All three seasons are on Netflix so you can watch them all in one go, and there is promise of a fourth season too.

Free Willy

This modern day classic about a troubled little boy who forms an unlikely friendship with an orca whale, may be 27 years old (yikes!), but it’s still got all the feels. The kids will love it, and it’s fine to cry in front of them. Let’s free Willly!
Amazon Prime.

Fuchsia Urban Thai has launched a kid’s cookery kit

Little ones can whip up a tasty Thai meal in the comfort of their own homes. The boxes can be ordered form Deliveroo and come complete with all the ingredients the mini masterchefs need to create a delicious dish. There are two Thai Tots Kits to choose from. Thai inspired falafel with a Thai dipping sauce priced at Dhs48, and sweet and sour noodles with mixed vegetables for Dhs50. All of the ingredients have been pre-chopped and are ready to go with easy-to-follow child-friendly instructions.
From Dhs48. Order from Deliveroo.
