Seven UAE hotel day deals to check out this summer
Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort

Fancy a holiday but don't have more than a day to spare? Fret not, there are loads of hotels across the UAE that have special deals just for summer. Whether you're looking for a beach party in Fujairah, a palatial spa day in Dubai or a family-friendly outing in Abu Dhabi, we've got you covered. There's even a special seaplane adventure, but be quick you only have until the end of August to check it out.

Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort
Fancy a trip but can’t spare an entire weekend? It’s time for a no-more-than-90-minute-trip up the road to Fujairah. Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort has launched a brand-new daycation deal where you can laze around by the pool with your family, and still be tucked up in your own bed by the evening. And the best news? It’s only Dhs149 a person, while kids under 12 get a 50 percent discount. The deal runs until the end of September, and includes access to all the beach and pool facilities at the hotel – including Lava Beach Club. The huge free-form swimming pool (tiled in red, yellow and orange, representing lava) is the beach club’s centrepiece, flanked by sofas and day beds. You’ll also get access to Aqua Bounce waterpark – so get ready to have some fun splashing around. Lunch at Canvas is included too, while kids aged four to 11 get free access to Little Sailors Kids’ Club. So it’s time to dig out those road trip songs, gather up the car snacks and hit the road – it’s time for a day out (and the east coast’s waters are markedly cooler than Dubai’s at this time of year, so go for a dip while you’re there and soak it in).
Dhs149. Until Sep 31. Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort (09 204 1111).

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray
This massive palatial spa is a must-visit. And when better to book in than when there’s a fantastic deal? Spend the day lounging by the private beach or the 59m infinity pool. You’ll get lunch at Plaj or dinner at Lalezar, plus a treatment at Talise Ottoman Spa, which also includes use of all the spa facilitates like the Jacuzzis, adventure showers, saunas, day beds and even a snow room.
Dhs650. Sun-Thu, 9am-9.30pm. Ongoing. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Palm Jumeirah (04 453 0456).

Rosewood Abu Dhabi
Visit the capital for a refreshing daycation deal that will leave you feeling like you’ve had a holiday. Enjoy a 90-minute deep tissue or fusion massage (yes please) for Dhs500, and you can enjoy access to the pool all day long, too. That’s not all either, as part of the deal will see you get Dhs100 back to spend on food and beverages at the pool bar.
Dhs500. Until Aug 31, 10am-6pm. Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Al Maryah Island (02 813 5550).

Sanderson’s Abu Dhabi
If there’s one thing we love more than a day relaxing by a beautiful pool, it’s a day of sunbathing with some brilliant homemade dishes thrown in too. Well cool café Sanderson’s has teamed up with Al Seef Resort & Spa to offer a super pool day deal. For Dhs150 you get a spot by the lovely hotel pool directly behind the hipster-friendly eatery, one dish from the special Aqua Menu and a tea or coffee. You can also grab a fresh coconut for Dhs35, which will really give you the holiday feeling. Kids passes are available for Dhs90 too (including a kids meal and juice), so you can even bring the whole family along for a proper treat.
Dhs150, Dhs90 (kids). Daily 8am-10pm. The Walk at Al Seef Resorts & Spa by Andalus, Abu Dhabi (02 222 1142).

The Retreat
If you’re planning on getting into shape this summer, but are tempted by all the all-inclusive pool days and swim-up bars, here’s a deal to make your day off even cleaner and leaner this summer. The Retreat Palm Dubai is hosting a day-long juice cleanse. Visitors can destress by the pool and beach, soak up some sunshine and re-energise with a selection of specially formulated juice cleanse plans. The in-house nutritionists have designed the menu to even reboot your immune system, apparently. Not only will you give your digestive system a break from another buffet brunch barrage, but you’ll get five cold-pressed juices, three smoothies, plenty of water and even a lemon water to kick things off upon arrival.
Dhs333. Open daily 10am-sunset. Until Sep 30. The Retreat Palm Dubai, Palm Jumeirah (04 524 7777).

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island
The Weekday Summer Bliss daycation offer lets you unwind on the white sands of Saadiyat Beach, cool off with a dip in the huge pool and enjoy a three-course meal of accomplished pan-Asian cuisine whilst admiring the beautiful blue Gulf at Buddha-Bar Beach. Or, if you’re looking to turn your day off into a proper holiday, you can also pay a bit more and get a 45-minute spa treatment at Iridium spa or at the spa cabana by the beach as well. The deal includes lunch, pool and beach access for Dhs290 or lunch, pool, beach access and spa treatment for Dhs550.
Dhs290 (lunch, pool and beach), Dhs550 (lunch, pool, beach and spa). Jun 10-Sep 15. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi (02 498 8888).

PLUS! Go on a seaplane adventure

This is a daycation with a difference. This summer Seawings Seaplane Tours is offering a special deal, where you can see the sights of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi for 20 percent less.

If you’ve always fancied hopping on a seaplane, now is the time – as you’ll get a bird’s eye view of both cities, at a special summer offer of Dhs1,424.

The plane ride takes off from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and travels to Yas Marina. The experience takes 45 minutes and you’ll take in views of the Palm, Burj Khalifa and The World off the coast of Jumeirah in Dubai. Once you get to the capital you’ll fly over Yas Marina before landing there. And that’s not all, you’ll get a free pass to Ferrari World as well as a free transfer to the world-famous theme park that’s home to the world’s fastest rollercoast. Vroom indeed.
