Two new Radisson Blu hotels open in Abu Dhabi

They replace the veteran Hilton properties on the Corniche and in Al Ain

Two new Radisson Blu hotels open in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has two new hotels for 2019. Well, kind of.

Two Radisson Blu properties have now opened – one on the Corniche and one in Al Ain.

The brand has taken over two existing hotels, which were both previously operated by Hilton, and will be run by Abu Dhabi National Hotels.

Each one is going to be revamped, breathing fresh life into them.

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Abu Dhabi Corniche has a prime beachfront spot, complete with beach club, gym, three pools and a spa. When it comes to restaurants, there’s no change yet – with the likes of Toki, Bocca and Vienna Plaza remaining in place.

Meanwhile in the garden city, the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort Al Ain is a peaceful retreat away from the buzz of big city life.

Originally built in 1969 for a royal wedding, it’s one of the most historic hotel properties in the UAE.

Set in landscaped gardens, Al Ain Oasis and Jebel Hafeet are moments away, while back in the hotel itself there are pools, tennis courts, saunas and a gym.
Foodies will be pleased to know there are six restaurants and four bars on-site, too.

Tim Cordon, area senior vice president, Middle East and Africa, Radisson Hotel Group, says: “We’re delighted to begin 2019 in such a positive manner with the opening of these amazing properties in the UAE. Both properties remain iconic landmarks in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy such unique locations. Abu Dhabi continues to flourish as a destination, with significant investment going into demand generators for the tourism sector – from cultural landmarks to entertainment and leisure offerings. We’re proud to be playing a supporting role in this evolution.”

Khalid Anib, chief executive officer, Abu Dhabi National Hotels, says: “We’re pleased to lead our hotels into their next generation under the globally recognized Radisson Blu brand. Both hotels are undergoing extensive renovation works that will see them reach leading standards. Each hotel has its own distinct and attractive offering for both business and leisure segments. We’re confident that our guests will enjoy many memorable moments at our hotels, whilst discovering all that Abu Dhabi and Al Ain has to offer.”
