Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort might be the new kid on Abu Dhabi’s luxury hotel block but it already has the makings of becoming a capital favourite.
The plush destination has made its home at a stunning location on Saadiyat Island, overlooking 400 metres of protected sand dunes lapped by turquoise waters to give it a summer house feel.
And while it has only been open for a matter of weeks, the venue’s string of great restaurants and attractions are already causing a stir in the city.
It boasts no fewer than seven eateries, three outdoor pools and a soothing 2,700 square metre spa with 15 treatment rooms set to open soon.
Three of the dining hubs have opened their doors, with the others set to follow soon.
From coastal Italian dishes at the charming Mare Mare to worldwide recipes at White, or Levantine classics served in a modern way at the trendy TEAN, there’s something to wow even the most hard-to-please diner.
While The Lounge, set to open in December, promises to become one of the city’s best sundowner spots with a trendy rooftop hangout space.
Or for a more chilled experience, enjoy barista-crafted coffees and an Arabesque afternoon tea at the elegant Majlis Saadiyat lobby lounge.
We could extol the virtues of the 293-room resort’s beautiful restaurants, bars and amenities all day, but there’s an important message behind it all too.
Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort has set its heart on being a leader in sustainable tourism, with a range of eco-friendly initiatives in place to make sure it does its bit for the environment.
They include a ban on plastic straws and single-use plastics bottles as well as measures to encourage guests to reduce waste.
And we haven’t even told you about the rooms and villas themselves yet, with modern and light retreats offering expansive sea views and the perfect chance to witness Abu Dhabi’s famously beautiful sunsets.
With all that in mind, it’s easy to see how Saadiyat Island’s newest recruit has made such an impression on the capital already.
But isn’t it better if you went along to experience it yourself?
