Abu Dhabi's VidCon postponed due to global pandemic

Abu Dhabi’s highly-anticipated event all about online videos VidCon has been postponed in light of COVID-19.

Set to be the world’s largest celebration of online videos, the festival has now been moved to December, 2021 – originally planned to kick off on December 16, 2020.

In partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the decision was made to put the health and safety of attendees, sponsors, speakers, creators, and staff as top priority.

“Over the next several months, we will work closely with local authorities, health officials, and the venue to guarantee we are doing everything possible to create the best and safest experience possible for 2021,” a representative of VidCon has stated.
