Andrea Bocelli announces Abu Dhabi gig

In the mood for some music that makes your hair stand on end and feel every possible type of emotion all at once?
Well, classical singer Andrea Bocelli is coming to Abu Dhabi for one night only and he can do just that.

The tenor will be memorising the crowds at du Arena on April 26 with a mix of old and new material, featuring famous operatic arias and hits from Sì, his first album of new material in 14 years.

This recent record also includes the spine-tingling duet Fall On Me, which stars his 20-year-old son Matteo Bocelli.
And it will be performed for the first time here in Abu Dhabi.

The singer has sold 85 million records throughout the world, performing for royalty, Presidents and Popes, and in some of the greatest concert halls and opera houses across the globe.

Bocelli describes himself as "a modern, yet old-fashioned tenor" with the ability to appeal to everyone.

He has wowed audiences at major international events such as the Olympic Games and his own sell-out arena shows.
His unparalleled singing prowess has also lead him to win a Golden Globe, seven Classic Brit and seven World Music Awards, plus a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Meanwhile, he has collaborated with a host of pop stars and singers such as Céline Dion, Tony Bennett, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, and many more.

Tickets start from Dhs395 and go on sale at noon on Wednesday February 27 from www.ticketmaster.ae and at all Virgin Megastores across the UAE.
