We know that every Abu Dhabi resident is constantly on the hunt for fun indoor activities during the long hot summer months, so we’re excited to see that the Louvre Abu Dhabi is putting on a culture-rich summer programme of activities.
This includes the Art Explorers Summer Camp, which lets children and teenagers explore the museum’s extensive collection and learn about the world’s cultures and history in a fun and interactive way.
Art Explorers for Children is suitable for kids aged six to 11. Young explorers will be equipped with an Art Explorers map and special rucksack, and encouraged to go on a creative journey inside the galleries and the Children’s Museum.
They’ll also have the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities such as drawing, scrapbook-making and storytelling.
Meanwhile, Art Explorers for Teenagers is for those aged 12 to 16, and as well as giving participants the chance to discover the museum, it also includes interactive discovery games, art workshops, films and various activities inside the galleries.
There’s a chance to create a masterpiece at the end and the first part of the camp will be focused around the Louvre’s latest exhibition Photographs: An Early Album of The World.
Art Explorers for Children will run from July 14 to 18 and July 21 to 25 (every day except Mondays when the museum is closed).
Meanwhile, Art Explorers for Teenagers will run from July 7 to 11 and July 14 to 18 (except Mondays).
Four-day passes to the camp are Dhs 1,000, while day passes are Dhs280 including lunch and a snack.
Registration is now open and you can book your place by calling 060 056 5566 or emailing email@example.com.
