Warehouse 421 launches amazing events for Ramadan 2019

Ramadan is special time of year and a great opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family.

Looking to bring people together to enjoy a shared experience, Warehouse 421 has launched a special calendar of events for the Holy Month.

Events being held at the creative hub include short courses, workshops, film screenings and book readings.

Activities, catering to both children and adults, will be held from 10am to 3pm and 8pm to 11pm during Ramadan.

Aiming to encourage self-discovery, self-expression and creativity, the three-part workshop Gravity Free and Reality Dependent will be held on May 8, 15 and 22.

Meanwhile, on May 24 the A Celebration Of Failure discussion will be exploring the value of failure and its role towards progress.

Artist Shaika Al Ketbi will lead the Drawing Through Recollection workshop on May 12, where she will demonstrate how she creates her own paintings and images and encourage participants to create their own works of art using charcoal on wood.

A henna workshop will also be held on May 16 that will teach participants about the history and benefits of henna as well as basic techniques.

The films Spirited Away and The Kingdom Of Dreams and Madness will also be shown by Cinema Akil on May 11 and 18 respectively.

And finally, guests can experience Al Rabi’a, a visual art exhibition by Emerging Artists Fellowship artist Shaika Al Ketbi until June 2.
