All the exciting events to check out at Abu Dhabi's Qasr al Hosn this month

A new programme of events at Abu Dhabi’s Qasr Al Hosn has been designed to celebrate the heritage of the UAE in the run-up to National Day.
Taking place throughout November, you can go along and experience loads of cool shows, exhibits and experiences at The Cultural Foundation, the House of Artisans and Qasr Al Hosn itself.

The exhibition Lest We Forget at Qasr Al Hosn is now on until November 30. Showcasing the role of women in Emirati culture, the display features burqas and traditional garments, and it is based upon the Lest We Forget: Emirati Adornment feature collection that was at Warehouse421.

Then car fanatics absolutely need to check out the Ruhool exhibition, which is taking place from November 29 to December 30. Showcasing a range of classic cars from the 1950s and 60s, there will be a classic car parade on the opening day.

The historical centre is also screening five-part documentary series, History of the Emirates, with the first showings on November 29 and 30.

Moving over to the Cultural Foundation, the Plaza Francia Orchestra will be performing an evening of Argentine tango music on November 22, and Emirati author Noura Al Khoory will be leading a talk at The Children’s Library on November 21. Electo group 47Soul will perform on the same night.

Last but not least, the Savoir-faire Conversations programme is taking place at the House of Artisans from now until November 28. This collaboration between Abu Dhabi and the French luxury goods trade association Comité Colbert will offer film screenings, cross-cultural craft demonstrations, workshops and talks with skilled Emirati and French luxury artisans.
