Help hand out free iftar meals to workers in Al Ain

Public urged to support Ramadan charity campaign at Al Jahili Fort

Area Guides

Fancy serving up some support for a worthy cause during Ramadan? Community-spirited residents have been invited to help distribute 200 free iftar meals for a charity drive being held at Al Jahili Fort, in Al Ain, on Thursday evening.

In the spirit of the Year of Giving initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority will be dishing out the meals in The Garden City, and they are looking for an extra helping hand or two. The scheme has been set up to encourage members of the public to carry out acts of goodwill and promote principles of tolerance all year round.

Meal distributions will start at around 6.30pm next to the Ramadan cannon, which sits in front of the entrance gate at Al Jahili Fort. It’s a chance to marvel at one of the emirate’s most impressive landmarks while doing your bit to help others.
