Not in the mood for the holidays yet? Bah humbug! These Christmas markets and events will convert the most crotchety Scrooge and fill you with festive spirit. If you’re really lucky, you may even see some snow… sleigh bells ring, are you listening?

Yas Marina

From December 11 to January 2, Yas Marina is a winter wonderland. Over 60 stalls will be selling gifts, trinkets and decorations, and visitors can enjoy a snowball zone or meet Santa.

RIPE market

Head to Ripe Market on Saadiyat Island for not only scrummy fresh food stuff but impressive market stalls selling crafts, clothes and gifts; a great spot to buy unique presents.
Every Wednesday, 2pm-7pm. The Collection, Saadiyat Island (04 380 7602).

Abu Dhabi Golf Club

There’s 12 festive days full of fun for you to enjoy at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Christmas movies on the lawn, a special Christmas Eve raffle and even Santa on a golf buggy handing out gifts.

The galleria

Al Maryah Island will be hosting its Winter Fair from December 11 to January 16. The waterfront promenade will host stalls, a snow play area and even a rodeo reindeer. All to the sound of Christmas carollers!

Swiss Market

Beach Rotana hosts its Swiss Market for the 11th year. From December 9 to 11 find stocking fillers and enough cookies to last you until next year. There’s even a Lindt chocolate kitchen.
