Time Out Says
The décor is laid-back and cellar-like – all curved ceilings and exposed brick work. The central bar area is a popular gathering point, with people pulling up a stool any time you visit, casually chatting or catching the match on one of the many screens throughout the room.
Drinks-wise, there’s a decent selection of hops and grape. Plus there’s a massive happy hour deal – the longest on Yas Island, it claims – running from 4pm to midnight in the week and from noon to midnight at weekends.
Winning Highly Commended for Time Out Abu Dhabi’s bar food of the year 2016, it would also be remiss of us not to mention the grub, which is well worth digging into should you get peckish on your visit. It’s not the cheapest bar food you’ll find, but the servings are huge and it’s all great quality (try the wagyu burger or classic fish and chips).
The vibe is upbeat yet relaxed, regardless of where you choose to sit, be it at the bar or in a cosy corner towards the edges of the room. Now the weather is cooling down, try the terrace outside, which is a popular hangout, too.
Indoors it’s on the smoky side (especially if you’re dining), and the music is occasionally not quite on point (unless you’re a fan of lesser-known 90s Christina Aguilera ballards, that is). But that aside, this is a fun, friendly, relaxed spot that’s worth a visit if you’re after sport, a pint and some great pub grub.
The bottom line
Laidback sports bar with good deals.
