Time Out Says
It’s the ladies’ masquerade night at Teatro, and although there isn’t actually a person wearing a mask to be seen, the theatrical decorations of the bar and restaurant at the Park Rotana fit the theme perfectly.
The deal starts at 6pm, so we’re here just as the doors are opening (we’re never afraid of looking too keen).
We’re given a warm welcome, and a choice of tables and comfortable booths.
The deal includes two hours of free-flowing grape and fancy frozen mixed drinks for Dhs68, and our server wastes no time in getting our first drinks order in.
The berry-infused one is recommended to us as the best, so we go with that along with the lychee option. They take a while to arrive, but when they do it’s clear that the wait was because they were being prepared carefully and with great skill. Each is super pretty and decorated with fresh fruits, and on a hot day it’s just what we need.
We move on to a few glasses of sparkling after this, and conclude that we’re definitely getting our money’s worth.
Ladies also get 30 percent off the à la carte menu, which includes pretty much every cuisine you can possibly imagine.
There’s everything from Thai curries to dim sum, pizzas to seafood platters and everything in between. We’re also big fans of the selection of maki rolls here, which are prepared by expert chefs at the open sushi counter, but tonight we’re just after some post-work refreshments.
Teatro is the ideal place for a few relaxed drinks in a calm and classy environment, and being handed our own Venetian-style mask as we leave tops off a great night perfectly.
