Time Out Says
Inside, the bar is dark and moody, in keeping with the ambience of the dining room. It’s a decent-sized space, with a central bar providing a focal point. High tables are dotted around and you can order food to them, too.
With the menu having plenty of smaller, sharing dishes on it, some of the plates work well as bar snacks.
The staff really know their stuff here, with expert barmen creating a variety of mixed drinks that take inspiration from the herbs and spices used in Indian cooking. But if its grape or hops you’re after, there’s a good selection of both on offer (and keep an eye out for regular grape tasting events).
Soon, the brilliant terrace will come into its own, not least on Fridays when between 4pm and 7pm it’s sundowner time, with free-flowing drinks and bites.
The resident DJ plays smooth beats that create a great vibe that’s ideal for meeting up with friends to catch up over drinks.
But no matter what time you visit, and whether you are outside or inside, Tamba oozes class from the greeting at the door until it’s time to leave for home.
The current mall entrance to The Hub is the only downside, but a separate door to the dining collection should be in place soon. But, it’s what happens inside the venue that really matters and that is pretty much faultless.
The bottom line
A top-class bar for a cool night out.
