Time Out Says
Within minutes of arriving at Heroes, we know we have found just such a place. And we are never going to let it go.
The first thing that pricks our ears up is the music – track after track of cheesy 80s tunes, interspersed with the odd contemporary number, all begging to be sung along to.
The down-to-earth decor is reminiscent of a traditional British pub and, to be fair, most of the clientele seem to have been transported from one.
The venue comes into its own the longer the night stretches on, with crowds of revellers flooding in to catch a live game on one of the big screens or listen to the hummable songs, or perhaps hang around to see one of the best live bands in the city – the irrepressible International Playboys.
Heroes is a great place to let your hair down after a long week and enjoy a fun night out with your pals. There are plenty of spots to take a load off in this spacious venue, but we enjoy surveying the throng of toe-tapping customers from the bar. It’s great fun.
With a regular Monday quiz night, a Friday post-brunch party and lots of happy hour deals, there is always a reason to visit Heroes. It doesn’t close its doors until 4am, either, so you can always make a night (and early morning) of it.
The bottom line
One of the liveliest nights out in the city.
