From the model of an F1 car parked outside to the framed football shirts inside, this place simply screams sports bar. The stripped-back industrial décor provides a cool vibe, while there are plenty of screens to watch another F1 season come to a thrilling close on.

6. PJ O’Reilly’s
Abu Dhabi’s original Irish pub is still one of the best spots in the capital to catch up on live sport in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you haven’t got a ticket for Yas Marina Circuit, plot a course for PJ’s. There will be plenty of good craic in store along with authentic Emerald Isle beverages and bites, including a taste of the black stuff. Settle down, relax and get this show on the road.

You won’t be surprised to learn that sport is a driving force behind the success of this Boston-inspired venue. The title is a bit of a clue, of course, as is its location on the first floor of the International Tennis Center in Zayed Sports City. Throw in some quality gastropub food and banks of screens in a spacious bar area, some snug boothes, and you have yourself a fine viewing position for the hotly-anticipated race.

The aptly-named bar is a prime spot in which to satisfy your need for speed. With an eye-popping 38 TV screens adorning the walls of this funky bar, there is little chance of you missing a daring overtake, dramatic crash or wheel-to-wheel duel. You can tuck into a wide variety of tasty dishes and enjoy some simply mind-boggling happy hour deals while Hamilton, Vettel and the rest of the F1 superstars get to work.

One of the new kids on the starting block has already made a rapid move to the front of the nightlife grid. The sociable island bar at the centre of the venue, with a large TV screen as its focal point, makes for a buzzing spot when there is a big event on. Victor’s is a winner.
