It’s pretty much impossible to listen to Latin tunes without, at the very least, indulging in some low-key toe tapping. While we love cool house tunes and funky R&B hits, it’s South and Central American rhythms that are guaranteed to get our hips swaying up on the dance floor. So whether you’re a Strictly Come Dancing addict or just like to bust out some of your slightly dodgy moves from time to time, there’s nothing like a super-cool Latin night to get you going.
In fact, it seems like the capital can’t get enough of these colourful events. A number of our favourite bars have started putting on their own evenings filled with salsa dancing and tasty tapas-style bites. So here’s our list of the hottest dance floors in Abu Dhabi.
Head to this trendy Peruvian eatery any night of the week and you’ll find a lively Latin-inspired vibe. But Tuesdays and Wednesdays at this legendary Abu Dhabi hangout are extra special. These weekly events see the three-piece house band perform a selection of the hottest songs from South America. With an extensive menu of beverages from across Peru and Mexico to keep you refreshed throughout the evening, it won’t be long before you cave in and hit the dance floor.

This funky restaurant claims to be liveliest Latin-American spot in Abu Dhabi, and we find it very hard to disagree. From Sunday to Friday the dance floor is filled with guests moving to the infectious salsa, mambo and merengue rhythms from the resident band. Then on Friday evenings you can feast on unlimited amounts of traditional Latin-American dishes and sip free-flowing mixed drinks and Mexican hops for Dhs299 per person. Sounds like a fun-filled weekend celebration to us.
