One of Abu Dhabi’s coolest terraces reopens with new ladies' night

For the last few weeks, Abu Dhabi residents have debated whether it’s now cool enough to sit outside.

But now that Iris has relaunched its awesome outdoor area, there’s no question about it.

The good weather has officially started and we couldn’t be more excited.

The Yas Island bar will reopen its terrace for the first time on Wednesday, October 17 and it has marked the occasion by launching a new ladies’ night.

The HYVE ladies’ night will take place every Wednesday evening.

Describing itself as a ‘homegrown house revolution’, HYVE has already established itself at swanky Dubai nightclub White Dubai.

The first event will feature special guest Stereo Express, plus resident DJ Paul Svenson, who will be playing the hottest house tunes from Black Coffee, Virgil Abiloh and other big names.

Upcoming HYVE events will feature Chelina Manuhutu on October 24, and a special Halloween edition featuring Animal Picnic on October 31.

But it’s not all about Wednesday nights at this stylish bar. Marvin Moore, known for his collaboration with Carlos Santana on the single Maria, Maria, will also be performing on Sunday, October 21.

Meanwhile, on October 26 Turkish DJ Mahmut Orhan will make a triumphant return.

Iris is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 6pm until late. The daily offers include 50 percent off drinks and 25 percent off food from 6pm to 9pm.

Make sure you get there early to reserve a spot.

October is suddenly looking like it’s going to be very fun indeed.

Open Wed-Sun 6pm-3.30am. Yas Marina, Yas Island (055 160 5636).
