Stand-up fans are in for a summer treat, as the Laughter Factory returns to Abu Dhabi in July.
Audiences will be rolling in the aisles to the sounds of Jimmy Schubert, Nick Beaton and Sally-Anne Hayward at the Park Rotana on July 18.
American Schubert is wel-known in the USA after appearances on TV shows King of Queens and Entourage as well as the stage.
Laughter Factory founder Gail Clough says: “He’s bound to knock a few cobwebs off our humid, wet brains this summer.”
Schubert himself adds: “I like to entertain people in any form under any circumstances. Whether it’s in a sold-out three-thousand seat theater or in the middle of a war zone in Afghanistan, or doing close up magic in an intimate setting.
“My mission is to make ‘em laugh as hard as I can.”
Joining him with be Canadian Beaton, whose last show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival drew a string of five-start reviews, and Brit Hayward, who is a regual compere at the comedy tent at the Glastonbury festival.
Beaton is described as a blue-collar comedian whose everyman persona cuts through the beurocracy of modern life.
Hayward is another performer with a string of small-screen credits toher name, but is most at home with mic in hand and on stage. Her confident wit is cutting and she’s supported the likes of Sarah Milican, Russell Howard and Russell Kane on tour.
