This cool and colourful creative hub is a labour of love for owner Amal Al Maamari – and it really shows. Fun is the focus here and art lovers of all ages can try out a host of workshops, led by dedicated teachers, on subjects as diverse as freestyle acrylic painting, portraits, glass painting sessions and clay modelling. The art studio can hold up to 35 people for its regular sessions.

Abu Dhabi Art Hub
The World Trade Center spot plays host to an array of international exhibitions, but you can also make art as well as view it here. You can brush up on your skills with weekly workshops making masterpieces out of recycled materials, dive into watercolour sessions or try your hand at calligraphy.

Abu Dhabi Pottery
You can see your creativity take shape with the ultimate hands-on art experience. Founder Homa Farley has been moulding artistic talents since 1994, offering step-by-step tips on how to prepare clay, make
a pot and how to paint and glaze the finished product. Workshops are held for all ages through the week. During December, Time Out readers attending a session can bring a friend for free or get one session free when booking four.

Al Ain Palace Museum
Explore the UAE’s rich heritage by making a royal appointment at Al Ain Palace Museum. History lovers can get in touch with the past by trying out traditional handicraft workshops every week. The free sessions are being held as part of the ongoing Al Ain Cultural Programme.
