Reem Mall project takes major step towards completion

It will include 450 shops and a snow park

Reem Mall, one of Abu Dhabi’s most keenly anticipated new projects, has taken a major step towards completion.

The $1.2bn project, which will feature a snow park, a multiplex cinema and 450 shops, has been hit by a series of delays so far.

It was initially due to open this year but that date had to be put back until late 2020.

But it looks like things might be starting to gather pace.

Al Farwaniya Property Developments has just held a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the project, signalling a big milestone in the building work.

Once opened, it will sprawl across 2.9 million square feet and be full of hypermarkets, entertainment and leisure options.

We can’t wait to see how it turns out.
