Yas Super Street challenge roars back into Abu Dhabi

Race fans geared up for action at Yas Marina Circuit

It’s full speed ahead for petrolheads in Abu Dhabi – as the Yas Super Street challenge gets out of the starters blocks once again.

The high-octane extravaganza will be taking over Yas Marina Circuit – the home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – for a fourth straight year for a thrilling weekend of motor sport action.

The two day event, which will take place on January 18 and 19, will see a super-charged fleet of more than 50 of the UAE’s best urban racers going full throttle for victory and a share of a Dhs25,000 jackpot.

The street challenge provides a professional automotive environment for grassroots racers, who can get in the driving seat for an entry price of just Dhs420.

If you’d rather cheer on from the stands rather than go wheel-to-wheel yourself, tickets prices are Dhs55.
Fans can watch dynamic drivers battle it out across five separate categories – including 4x4 Super Street SUV and the Super Street Open Category.

Speedsters first past the finishing line will score a Dhs15,000 top prize, with the runner-up picking up a pretty nifty Dhs10,000 and Dhs5,000 wil be on offer for the racer rounding off the podium.

As well as enjoying the terrific entertainment on the track, race-goers will be able to refuel at a range of food trucks.

Dhs420 (driver entry), Dhs55 (spectators). Jan 18-19, Yas Marina Circuit, www.yasmarinacircuit.com (800 927).
