Bargaining for carpets
Much of what you find in Abu Dhabi’s carpet souk can be found in Thamel at a third of the price. Start at 60 per cent of the asking price, and don’t appear too needy.
Flights between Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu take around four-and-a-half hours with Etihad, from Dhs1,605 (economy) and Dhs3,605 (business class), all taxes and surcharges included. Visas can be bought at Kathmandu Airport immigration.

Actually, they only mention the flights here - and the info is correct. Nobody says anything about hotels, other than you should fish around and try different ones. No lies at all.

I would not believe anything ever advertised by Etihad or Emirates. As you say Virginie...Lies, Damn Lies and UAE airline promos

Dear Time Out Team

Firstly,thank you for your article about all the great destinations...with great deal..So,I have called Etihad and asked for the Cyprus and Kathmandu trips...(I also went to their website...amazing deal as your article suggested) ...Guess what ...as usual..the marketing and the operation are 2 differents world....the cheapest trip with an hotel for Kathm,IS 8,000Dhs...promotions are great...but please ask them to stop lying like this...so many articles now about Emirates and Ethihad with all their promotions..and when you call none of this price is available...I am an EX Hotelier,Director of SM..i know the trick...but there is trick...and Lies.....Thank you
