Abu Dhabi jet-setters really can live the high life on their next flight after British Airways gave lift off to a ‘new generation’ of luxury travel.

Travellers on routes from Abu Dhabi to London will soar through the skies in style thanks to the launch of the new First Cabin, which takes levels of comfort to brand new heights.

The First Cabin offers just eight seats in comparison to the 14 available on all other British Airways long-haul flights, giving customers lots of extra space to relax and unwind during the trip.

The First Cabin is found on the Dreamliner, which bosses describe as a new generation aircraft, which is part of the 787 fleet.

It is 20 foot longer than its 787-8 predecessor and boasts four cabins, World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) Club World (business class) and the brand new First cabin.

With all British Airways flights from the UAE flying to Terminal 5 in London Heathrow, the airline’s First customers that book 60 days in advance can now experience the new generation First cabins on board the 787-9 Dreamliner on the Abu Dhabi-London route for prices starting at Dhs20,550.

Alex Cruz, British Airways’ chairman and CEO, said: “We know that our First customers are used to the very best in life and have very exacting standards. From the feedback we’ve received from our First fliers, these changes are making a real difference to their experience.
