Abu Dhabi Dash
Round up your colleagues and go up against other corporate teams at the Abu Dhabi Dash. Teams must field a minimum of eight, and a maximum of ten, participants. The relay race format requires each member to run a distance of 1.5k. There are prizes for the top three teams, the most exuberant supporters and the most improved team from last year. In addition to building team spirit, the event looks to promote a fitter lifestyle for companies and their employees. Abu Dhabi Dash will also include an activity village where visitors can get health advice, sign up for demos and sample healthy food.
Dhs5,395 (per team, including race packs). Tue October 24, 4.30pm onwards. Zayed Sports City, www.racethedash.com.

NEORUN
The Halloween edition of the NEORUN is back for the third year. Dress up in your best (or worst) scary outfit and make your way along the creative 5k course, which is littered with spooky zones. Once you successfully get past the monsters and terrifying dolls, head over to the Enigma Party. It will feature five international DJs, as well as glowsticks, UV paint and more.
Dhs165 (entry and swag bag, until Oct 21), Dhs185 (entry and swag bag, after Oct 21), Dhs200 (entry and swag bag, at the door). Oct 27, doors open at 5pm, race begins at 7pm. Zayed Sports City, www.zsc.ae.

Westin Kilomarathon Run 2017

If you’re looking for a truly unique fun run, consider the Westin Kilomarathon. The proceeds will go towards supporting Al Jalila Foundation’s Farah programme. The annual charity run takes place under the night lights and on the lush greens of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Seasoned runners can enter the full Kilomarathon (26.2k) and run across the fairways, over sand mounds, on gravel roads and down cart paths. The half kilo (13.1k) will require participants to chart three laps of the course. There’s also a 1k children’s lap around the driving range. Once you’re done, refuel at the food stalls or visit the spa booth for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
Dhs175 (adults), Dhs120 (kids aged nine-16), Dhs80 (kids aged four to nine). October 27, 7pm onwards. The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa, Sas Al Nakhl (02 616 9999).
