In terms of seafood dishes, there isn’t much award-winner Catch doesn’t do. From sushi and ceviche starters to main courses of perfectly seared scallops and red snapper prepared papillotte-style, this contemporary, beach-front restaurant is a haven for seafood-lovers. Even if you’re not a fan of the ocean’s bounty, there’s plenty on the menu for you, too, including a number of tender, tasty wagyu beef dishes (you shouldn’t visit Catch for the steak, though).

The food selection features a culinary mix-and-match with heavy influence from the Far East and a smattering of Mediterranean and South American inspiration. Hokkaido scallops come atop wild rice risotto with yuzu and saffron sauce. The Canadian lobster is served with miso-chive butter and chimichurri sauce. Grilled prawns sit next to edamame and ginger purée and a kimchi-lemon butter sauce.

It’s all intriguing and inventive, with well balanced flavours and presented beautifully.

To top it off, gorgeous panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf (book a table on the terrace), good service and chilled-out, contemporary-style music from a violinist make Catch a must-visit.

The bottom line
Seafood and sea views that are hard to beat.
