Elegant light woods, nautically inspired décor and a lovely, ocean-facing terrace is what awaits at Catch seafood restaurant. It’s a stylish place, perfect for a leisurely meal, particularly in cooler weather, when you can sit by the waters and enjoy the laid-back yet upmarket atmosphere.

Even Canadian hip-hop artist Drake agrees with us – he reportedly loved it so much, he went three nights in a row when he visited the capital.

The menu is great, too. Seafood dishes with Japanese and European influence are on offer. We love the beautifully plated, delicious tuna tataki, with sea urchin, shiso oil and yuzu-ponzu sauce – the flavours are subtle, complementing each other well. The crab burger appetiser is just as impressive. Fresh crab is served in patty form between a soft squid ink bun and topped with a creamy avocado tartar sauce. And the crispy banana crisps it comes with are, well, a revelation.

In fact, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with anything on this carefully crafted menu. Which is why it currently holds our Best Seafood restaurant accolade. And it’s why we can’t understand how it’s not more popular. Perhaps it’s because people would rather go to neighbouring hotspot Asia de Cuba. But, for a stylish dining experience by the sea, Catch is in a league of its own.

The bottom line
If it’s good enough for Drake, then it’s good enough for us.
