Cloud Nine
High-class bar with excellent quality food 1 Reviews

Cloud Nine is in a class of its own. Some may find the leopard and zebra-skin upholstery over the top, but this bar is an oasis of calm. The low lights, dark panelled walls and brown wooden floors with oriental carpets border on the burlesque, but they encourage an atmosphere of hushed conversation.
The food is very good indeed, but the setting is also perfect for after-dinner drinks. There’s a choice of three different caviars (Beluga, Imperial and Sevruga if you’re interested), but at Dhs580 a plate it needs to be a special occasion. For more prosaic evenings, the foie gras will just have to do instead. Although this is an expensive dining spot, the portions are surprisingly big, making it seem more worthwhile.
Cloud Nine is a cigar bar complete with walk-in humidor with a variety of cigars on offer. The wine list has vintages from all corners of the world, and there are some nice cocktails. But if you sit at the actual bar you’ll be outside in the hallway listening to the chatter of registering guests. Back inside, the armchairs (and sofas for the more insouciant) are very comfortable, the service is discreet and efficient, and the music relaxing.
