Le Vendôme Brasserie
High-end buffet in the luxurious heart of the Emirates Palace 1 Reviews
If you’re feeling flash, Le Vendôme is the place to head as although prices are on the high side, the quality of food and the impeccable service make the experience worth splashing out for. The gilded interior leads out onto a stately terrace, where unspoiled views of the Palace grounds and private beach are framed by titanic marble columns. Staff are as obliging as you would expect from this celebrated hotel, and bring ice buckets, cool face cloths and even dental floss without having to be prompted.
The buffet itself isn’t overly extensive and this manages to give Le Vendôme a cosy feel, despite its opulence. Quality over quantity is the order of the day, and a varied array of cold starters is accompanied by perfectly cooked meat and fish dishes. The desserts are, slightly disappointingly, almost all of the same ilk: light mousses and cakes prevail. A selection of Arabic sweets and creamy French cheeses make you want to push for a fourth course, and if your waistline can cope with the strain, we say go for it.
