There’s no doubt the city loves Italian cuisine – the glut of restaurants in the capital are sound proof of that fact, and their offerings range vastly in quality from sloppy and bland to authentic and flavourful. Sevilo’s sits firmly in the middle. Service is pleasant, prices aren’t bad and the food, unfortunately, is very middle of the road. There is nothing particularly outstanding on the menu – pizzas, pastas, meat dishes and a few salads – but nothing particularly offensive, either.

Starters are disappointing – tasting suspiciously like they’ve spent a long time in the fridge; on the other hand, mains are hearty and filling – the lamb is cooked exactly to specification, and is tender and full of flavour, and the pasta draws no complaints. The decor has a few Italian touches, and the terrace has great views of the city. If only they’d add a few surprises to their menu – perhaps they’d finally be able to compete.

Very cozy interior and nice terrace, like it very much!
Food was very testy and service was excellent.
We'll came back again and as soon as weather gets cooler wish to sit outside on the balcony.

Below is the email I sent to the restaurant after our recent visit in late May 2011. I have to disagree with TO's review as I thought this Italian was far more on the authentic and interesting side than a lot of the newer places in Abu Dhabi which are Italian in name alone. Coupled with generous portion sizes and competitive pricing I know I will be returning. Okay their are glitzier places in Abu Dhabi but who wants shirt collar and high prices every night?? PLus the terrace is a perfect and beautiful spot for finishinf off your Italian wine,

I know it is more unusual these days to receive positive feedback than negative but I just felt I had to write to thank you and your team at Sevilo's for the wonderful experience we had at your restaurant yesterday evening.

I joined some friends who were visiting from Al Ain and the UK for dinner on the 27th May at 8pm for dinner with you.

The evening's Maitre D' along with her team of staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient as well as being attentive without being intrusive.

The food menu was thoughtful and interesting (which often Italian restaurants can fail to achieve), and the food itself was well executed and tasty with very generous portions.

This was my first experience dining in the Millennium (after 3 years in Abu Dhabi) and I was very pleasantly surprised.

I know it was a quiet evening when we visited but this was not at all representative of the excellent service you offer and I shall certainly be recommending and returning.

Although the interior design could do with a little more "italianita", there is nothing to improve on the food. It is Italian food at highest level. The warm and friendly service and the nice casual atmosphere ensure a pleasant dining experience and make you want to come back for more

My name is Giovanni, I'm italian and I spend last 2 weeks in Abu Dhabi. For shore I had a dinner in Sevilo's where, except the name, I felt totally at home. The restaurant has nothing special, but even nothing bad and the informal table set up give me a good feeling. The terrace doesn't need any more comment: a simply inspected relaxed corner in the middle of the city. The service doesn't have no idea about european standard, like in every were in this country, but at list they know it, and my be is the reason that they are so lovely and carefully that we can appreciate a good service. About the food and average money you find me totally disappointed. The test was really close to italian, the presentation simple and impressing, and the executive chef (italian) explain me the reason why I was surprise about italian flavor: most of the products came from Italy. In other italian restaurant you can find as well something good, but better is a big word to be used, so I suggest you to make a doble check first. Regard Giovanni
