Etoiles
Impeccable, inventive fine-dining, cruelly stuffed inside a nightclub 4 Reviews

It’s a restaurant of two halves, is Étoiles. In the cooler months, the breezy, stone-pillared balcony that overlooks the rear courtyard of Emirates Palace is one of the most idyllic dining spots in the city. As soon as things heat up, however, your only option is a drab dining room which (since the venue also doubles as one of the city’s chicest nightclubs) comes laced with cheap-looking glittery bits and the smell of stale smoke. It’s a shame, really, because the food at Étoiles is absolutely superb. The menu is packed with exciting surprises that look and taste every bit as good as they sound; plates of calamari with candied peanuts and chocolate cannelloni in minty foam being particular highlights. If only they’d rip out the DJ booth and focus on the food full-time, Étoiles could very quickly find itself among the ranks of the best restaurants in the city.
