Tiara - Abu Dhabi’s second revolving restaurant – might refer to itself as fine dining, however to get to it you must first trek through Marina Mall. The stroll past the fluorescent lit shops and fast food outlets, followed by a 55-floor elevator ride, makes this label sit a little uncomfortably with its surroundings. But inside it is surprisingly tranquil; sturdily kitted out in polished wood and very dimly lit – so much so, in fact, that in the evenings, the menus come equipped with reading lights. The food enjoys a mixed success; starters are very good, if on the large side, with the risotto and seafood soup being particularly hearty. However mains miss the mark, with some unusual and not always successful combinations – especially where sides are concerned. The dessert menu has some interesting options that, unfortunately, also fail to satisfy. Still, from its lofty vantage point you can at least enjoy some spectacular views.

Today 18/1/2012 I went with my friends who came to UAE for sightseeing..It was a good experience in Tiara restaurant, the view was from the tower was amazing, Food was excellent..

I feel sorry for some nationalities who keep complaining and they always want to get a good service with less price.. Go eat Biriani it safer for your wallet .

Amazing restaurant in TIARA REVOLVING TOWER in marina mall..i had my lunch with my family and friend the staff they are friendly even the smile u cannot buy from the staff and the food it was amazing.. i will recomend to all my friends and family...i will come back soon

Undoubtably the veiw from there is osum But what rabbish bahaviour they have. 1.Me and my parents and sister when we set & We were ordering that fallow told us thta YOU HAVE TO ORDER 2 ITEAMS AS YOU ARE 2 PERSONS(That was worst thing),Still We were ok with that. So we ordered 2 coffee, 2. Then after few mins they said you have to order your 6 month old baby also and pay 35 for one juice instand of 20 as its dine in time.( We didn't understand),,, then i tryed to complint to manager and reception the lady from reception she think this like own restaurant keep talking bad words. They didn't say even THANK YOU. Not even a single person said that. They are seriously mannerless. They don't have any manners . They are too rude. Price is very hight and food is worst. Only good thing is the veiw from the restaurant..... Rest all is not bad but worst. dont gonext time there

I am writing this to fill with great distaste and disappointment. It was yesterday 07/08/2012 that I resolved to enjoy a round of Coffee with my family in one of restaurant in Marina mall Abu Dhabi “TIARA” situated at Burj Marina,
I ordered a cup of coffee. I was surprised at the attitude of the attendants, Manager and receptionist. Not only the attendants were maddeningly slow, they seemed to be paying no attention to the customers’ demands.

When I tried to lodge a complaint with the receptionist in charge,she was sarcastic and did not take our complaint seriously. I sincerely hope that disciplinary action will be taken against the errant persons not only for spoiling my day but also spoiling the reputation of restaurant.

Great place to visit, the view was spectacular! We tried the Special Set Menu for aed 110 and it was good value for money. Service was friendly. Perhaps we will be visiting this restaurant next year. Like what the Arabs are saying..."En Shallah"

I was slightly intimidated at first, but over all, the quality was good. In fact, I find some of the opinions here a tad too harsh, but given how restaurants can be inconsistent...I suppose some errors aren't witnessed by most.

My take: They're good enough to be a tourist destination right now, so why not? And they recently started a facebook page, which makes them a lot more receptive to critique. Well, at least that's my impression.

I was in tiara, last Friday where I found nice buffet, well presented, with nice choice of food, nice salad bar with sushi platter in the middle, big selection of main course lovely veal cannelloni, beautiful dessert display, nice chocolate cake .
I had lunch with my wife and my daughter, our bill is 350.00 AED included water and 2 fresh cocktails with coffee and tea
I am not agree with the previous comment about the buffet and the restaurant price.
Is great restaurant to spend a Friday .

We went there last year for Ramadan BUffet. It was a disaster. The food was cold and not delicious at all. And after fasting all day one finds anything delicious, but not in Tiara. It was a rip off and we were extremely disappointed. The only postive thing was the view and that was charged extra "view fee". If the food was satisfiying, we would have paid the view fees with a smile, but since it was not, one only left extremely disappointed with the feeling of getting no value for the high prices at all.

We are regular visitors to Abu Dhabi and this is the most disappointing restaurant we have come across in the city. The service when we visited for lunch in February was dreadful, the staff were unwelcoming and surly- not a smile amongst them. The food was barely warm, over priced and pretentious. What a disappointment! We wish the lift staff had pointed out that we could have got out at the V floor walked round the tower to enjoy the view and then lunched somewhere else in the mall that provided better service and food. Definately one to avoid.

We had reservations for Valentines Dinner and when 5:30 rolled around and no one had come to our table to deliver menu, take drink order, or anything, we left.

Really amazing ambiance for a perfect lunch with family, friends or with your loved ones. But I would say that the overpriced food will not justify your pay.

i would never go to this restaurant, we ordered our food and three minutes later we asked to replace one dish with another one, the waiter said {i have already punched the order!!!! and if you change it i will have to pay from my pocket!!!')

i didn't know why i didn't ask for his manager to complain

I've been to the Restaurant a few times but was really surprised to found out that they've changed the whole menu recently........
The new menu was recommendable and it has plenty of selection as well!
Plus, the warm and pleasing smiles of the food servers were really welcoming.

The slew of simple 'yes' ratings here and vague 'it was good' comments are clearly staff or management trying to even out the consistently terrible reviews of this establishment. Don't be fooled. Our seafood grill and beef tenderloin were lacking even the most basic flavors, including SALT. The cheesecake tasted of refrigerator. What a disappointment.

Wow! what can i say? At first we were eyeing for it long time and when we get to dine there... we were welcomed with smiles. We went crazy because the view was gorgeous. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We were entertained. Oh, i forgot to say that it was our first time.

We thought we can have DESSERT ONLY as we already dine outside. We were told we have to have main course. That was fine. We even had at last our sweet desserts.

But so sad that we encounter such ridicules from their own service staffs. Maybe it was there first time to have diners that are jolly groups of ladies who visited all the way from DUBAI. So much of their accommodating ambience... we never had such encounter where service staff(s) of any particular restaurant make such a baleful joke out of their customer. And so sad that we experience it from TIARA CAFE... very lame. I recommend my friends and family not to dine so that they will not experience what me and my girls experienced. So degrading!

It is soooo sad how bad it is. My first experience with them was excellent at every level, but right now, I cannot believe how disorganized and so not customer oriented they are.
Management is very rude and not clear and they get worked up on the clients when they complain instead of trying to resolve the problem!
We really wanted to go back and we tried so many times but because of the attittude of people there, we will never do. The staff are not trained enough and they mislead the customers.

Last week i went there, a buffet was in place and every other dish was rice that tasted of cardomon rather than rice it self.
The fish on it was well over cooked and tasted fishy over coated badly with spices
Some green vegetables tasted like spinach was gritty and sandy, no labels to indicate witch is witch
Milk was warm and tasted slightly sour, it was awful experience over all
Never again
Adding insult to injury the chef apparently is a famous local chef that appears on TV but certainly can not cook
Bring the real chef to put some life back in the place

Once, was fine European restaurant on the perfect location of Abu Dhabi, you can tell by the menu and the fine touch in food when you get it, as any good restaurant in the world, all run by good chefs, now is all gone, disappointing really, bad news for Abu Dhabi as is trying to compete with the rest of the world, never mind, one down, its shame

I have been going to this restaurant for a while and really loved it, Service was always a bit patchy, but in a charming way and it really is not a hectic place.

Unfortunately, the last two times were really quite a disappointment from all angles. The service took forever and was just uncoordinated (my pregnant wife had to wait for a table to be set while the staff seemed to be taking turns at the door for no reason). Even more disappointing though, it seems the new chef has taken the lightness of the menu and almost everything comes in a greasy, long cooked wintery stew format. On top of that, I had mashed potatoes that were clearly from a package.

I won't give up, but hope that they get the act back together.

Perfect view, poor service, bad and overpriced food for what you get, on it's way down hill, the food was the best in town, the service is inconstant, hit and miss and loosing a touch.
Look carefully at the dates of the various reviews when the restaurant is good. Something fishy going on here

Menu looked appetizing,food was average but service was appalling the last time I went specifically some woman receptionist with extremely tight shirt and the trousers 4 size smaller than her fit who was incredibly rude to myself and a colleague and kept us waiting ages by the alleviator. We were quietly waiting but her attitude was so poor and abrupt that we wanted to go elsewhere. It's a real shame that people like this can ruin an entire experience at fantastic place, different manager in place, my guess the chef has changed too, the food spoke for it self previously and cover the missing part of alcoholic beverage

The 24th July 09. A disappointing night indeed in Tiara restaurant again, having to dine the second time this week. The first time for an early business dinner with my partner was embarrassing, sending the main course twice, grisly over cooked cold steak, and the second time the fish was wifee and unbearably fishy, definitely not how it used be few months ago, they lost the care and the European touch it used to have since the opening, certainly the best view in UAE but lack's a lot when it comes to food, not the way it used to be and it will not last longer if it stays this way.
I hope if they'll get it soughed out soon

for this type of ambiance and style of such a kind of restuarant we expected a better service and food. waiters are not well trained and the menu does not have food description. food was not fresh and not healthy. not enough variaty as some of the dishes were not available. expensive for such kind of food and serivice. not recommended

10th July 09. What a disapointment! Having dined at Tiara previously, the fixed menu was excellent value and offered a fine choice. Not any more. The fixed menu is gone, replaced by a mediocore al a carte with a poor choice, silly combinations and sillier prices. Try aed 90 for Pasta Arabiata! The views of Abu are truly excellent, but the service is slow, food served from plastic trays and the staff are dressed as coffee shop staff, not a "fine casual" as Tiara likes to promote itself. The rumble and noise of the revolving floor is not for the nervous. Try lots of WD40. And on the way out, chatting to a nice man in the lift, I suggested he should be working in the restaurant as he had a pleasant way of speaking to people. He said he used to. What? When I pressed him to tell me why he didnt anymore, he very reluctantly said he had broken a plate and been put on lift duty. Disgraceful and true. If you have to go to Tiara, take in the view, but eat somewhere else. The foodcourt in the mall offers a better choice and value. This restaurant caters for the tourist, not the Abu resident.
