Ramadan offer at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr

The venue: Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is hosting iftar and suhoor experiences in two spacious Ramadan tents. A 425 sq m air-conditioned Ramadan tent located adjacent to CuiScene and with a view of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is able to accommodate upwards of 200 guests for iftar, while an impressive 1,200 sq m tent built on the beach for the summer season is hosting suhoor with a capacity upwards of 1,000 guests.

Iftar:
Leading the culinary Ramadan preparations is senior sous chef Ayoub Makdissi, a Syrian native with over 20 years of experience in Arabic cuisine. Dishes from around the Middle East are being highlighted for iftar including hot and cold mezze, traditional ouzi lamb carving, samak harra (spicy tahini fish), dijaj bil laban (chicken with yogurt), chicken mossaka (chicken rolls) and samak saiadya (baked fish with rice).

Suhoor: A selection of à la carte Arabic specialities including mezze, mixed grills is available every night. Shisha is also available.

Extras: The summer tent is hosting suhoor daily with traditional Arabic sounds every evening, as well a range of shisha offerings. There is also a charitable element, with Dhs10 from every iftar package purchased going towards two charities – the Special Care Centre in Abu Dhabi and Operation Smile, a worldwide children’s charity that helps treat facial deformities.

Prices: Iftar buffet Dhs185 per person including Ramadan juices. Suhoor served à la carte with minimum spend of Dhs135++. Shisha is charged separately.

Iftar:

The venue: Break your fast at all-day dining restaurant Sofra bld before moving to the spacious 900 sq m Arabesque Tent for suhoor.

Iftar: Make your way to the capital’s renowned iftar grand buffet for an authentic taste of Middle Eastern flavours through traditional Ramadan favourites as well as specialties from Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Sofra bld has seating for up to 350 guests.

Suhoor: Celebrate the Holy Month at the special Arabesque Ramadan tent, which can host up to 400 people. The beachfront tent features modern Arabic furnishings with an exquisite view of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. A special suhoor menu is available along with traditional Arabic coffee and a background of Arabic sounds.

Extras: Shisha is available and an oud player performs every night.

Prices: Iftar at Sofra bld Dhs205++ per adult (including beverages), half price (children aged six-12 years). Suhoor Dhs85++ minimum charge per person for food and beverages (shisha charged separately). Set menus start from Dhs210++ for group bookings of 100-500 guests for iftar and suhoor.
