With its cosy maroon interior and piles of homely cushions, Zyara is not a place you’ll forget in a hurry. This cafe serves up a very warm welcome, an excellent cappuccino and some of the best freshly baked cakes in the city.

I have been here on numerous occasions and the quality has varied WILDLY. The brunch is a solid B: nothing exceptional or especially inspired, but it's a decent spread of food. However, their normal menu is all over the place. Some of the Lebanese food is between passable and good (fatteh, zatar, etc.) I suppose it was my fault that I ordered the cheeseburger. They were the frozen burgers you can get at the supermarket with Kraft cheese on top. And they were dwarfed by the size of the bun. They were so small, in fact, that they gave you two separate burgers. Really, really terrible.

Zyara has a lovely brunch for 70AED. When we went, we were told that it includes coffee and juices. What they didn't tell us is that it includes ONE coffee and ONE juice. We even asked "so the brunch includes coffee and drinks?" and were told "YES". Anyways, it's a good brunch featuring arabic dishes; however, please be aware of their drink policy.

If you can find the old Hilton hotel on the corniche then you have found Zyara. (NOTE) Im not talking the Hilton by the big Sheikh Zayed picture, its the one before the 'chamber of commerce' building if you are heading towards the big picture. Hope that was helpful....

why dont u just call them and ask!!

where is it precisely?
The map supplied with this review suggests it's behind the Madinat Zayed gold souk on or aound 12th (side street) - I have just returned from that area, after giving up looking for the place..

I note though in the review you say it is on the Corniche...

so..where is it? Back street? Gold Souk? Corniche?
