The Caribbean Beach Festival is returning to Abu Dhabi for the third time, and will be headlined by mega award-winning international pop star Sean Kingston.

Hitting Yas Beach on Friday October 6, the event is set to be an extravaganza of Caribbean culture, including art music and food as part of Reggae Beachfest.

Jamaican-American singer/songwriter Sean Kingston, whose earworm Beautiful Girls topped the Billboard Hot 100, is a platinum award-winner and has collaborated with big names in the music industry, such as Justin Bieber, Nicky Minaj and Kanye West.

“The UAE has a special place in my heart,” Kingston said ahead of the event. “The crowd has always been very receptive which is great because it motivates the performers and makes us love what we do even more.”

He is joined by Jamaican reggae artist Jah Cure, also known as the King of Lovers Rock, who is performing in the capital for the first time. A Grammy award nominee, he will be performing contemporary reggae music featuring both light harmonies and weighty bass moves.

There will also be local food trucks along the beach serving authentic Caribbean dishes.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome Sean Kingston to the gorgeous shores of Yas Beach, for what we’re sure will be an unforgettable performance at the Caribbean Beach Festival. The event will take fans from day to night with a jam-packed schedule of activities, tasty bites and smooth beats, proving that there’s always fun to be had on Yas Island,” said Gerardo Llanes, Executive Director of Destination Management, Yas Island.

The event is organised by Steppin Razor and powered by Radio 1 to bring people together to celebrate Jamaican and Caribbean culture.
