Parents all over the capital can rejoice – play time is about to get a whole lot more exciting for your little ones!

The boredom-busting bonanza that is KidZania has already proved a huge hit over the road in Dubai – and at 20 locations dotted all over the world – and is now ready to bring its unique brand of education and entertainment to Abu Dhabi for the first time at Yas Mall in 2018.

The brand new 8,200 square-metre facility will aim to teach youngsters the importance of independence, decision-making skills and the value of community, all wrapped up in a super-fun package.

KidZania venues typically feature an entire city, complete with a hospital, fire station, beauty salon, bank and supermarket and even television and radio stations and a theatre, allowing bright sparks to role play as their favourite professions in realistic situations.

The acclaimed edutainment centre is being brought to Abu Dhabi thanks to a partnership between property development, investment and management company, Aldar, and leisure and entertainment operators Emaar Entertainment.

KidZania will be the latest addition to a growing roster of attractions on YAS Island, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Water World and the famous Yas Marina Circuit, with Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park set to open in 2022.

Jassim Busaibe, Chief Asset Management Officer at Aldar, said: “Our partnership with Emaar Entertainment to bring the first KidZania to the UAE capital, will provide exciting and unique experiences to all members of the family, whether they are residents or tourists.”

Maitha Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer for Emaar Entertainment, added: “The addition of KidZania at Yas Mall marks our commitment to work with master-developers such as Aldar to deliver our exceptional experiences to benefit children and families across the nation.”
