It already looks set to be a very happy New Year in Abu Dhabi – after plans for an exciting new beachfront mega project were announced.

The sprawling 80,000 square metre leisure and wellbeing scheme – called A’L BAHAR – is set to take over a stretch of the Corniche in 2018.

The ambitious development, which is being spearheaded by Miral, will boast more than twenty food and beverage outlets, from the finest international fare to local cuisine, plus a beachfront filled with basketball and beach volleyball courts, soccer pitches, an outdoor gym, kids’ play area, space for live concerts and community events as well as an impressive inflatable floating structure for fun-filled experiences.

Miral is also opening up the opportunity for leasing the food and beverage and retail space at the beachfront project.
A beautiful promenade, over half a kilometre in length, will be set aside for walking.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, said: “This project reflects our continuous efforts to make Abu Dhabi a top tourism and entertainment destination, even beyond Yas Island by expanding our expertise to create a new leisure experience on Abu Dhabi’s highly popular Corniche. With its inclusive atmosphere and authentic experiences, we’re excited and confident that the beachfront project will make a valuable contribution to the capital’s family appeal as from a wellness and entertainment stand point.”
