The Chocolate Gallery: Chic, sophisticatedand somewhere all chocoholics must visit, this café is almost hidden away in the huge Fairmont, but it’s worth making the effort to seek it out. The décor will transport you to the cafés of Paris, with lush red walls and a retro coffee machine bubbling away on the counter. As well as more than 80 teas on their menu, they do an excellent and surprisingly cheap 24 Carat afternoon tea. They also make chocolate and visitors can watch as shoes and bags made out of the sweet stuff are crafted in the adjacent kitchen. The service is excellent and you’ll love sitting in the golden alcoves while you mull over which treats to order.
