Dance for kids
A new term of dance classes in January is now open for registration at the Abu Dhabi-based yoga studio. This includes ballet and jazz sessions for ages two to 17, and of all abilities. Running from Sunday January 15 until May 13, all the lessons are divided by age group and skill level, allowing your child to reach their full, groovy potential.

Pop-up workshops
On Friday January 13, Didier Abner Gonzales shows you how yoga can help build a strong, stable foundation through mastering more intermediate and advanced asanas. Then Heather Bonker is leading a class on Friday January 20, demonstrating how to free your hips in a graceful yet powerful vinyasa session that caters to intermediate and advanced yogis. Finally, on Saturday January 27, instructors will break down the sun salutation and teach you how to link postures with breathing. All sessions run from 9am to 10.30am and cost Dhs95.

Pre- and post-natal poses
A free pre-natal seminar is being held on Wednesday January 18 (7.15pm to 8.15pm), where you’ll learn about the benefits of baby massage, hypnobirthing, first aid, reflexology and more. It’s also a way to meet new mums and mums-to-be.

Teacher training
Looking for a new career direction? Well, you could become a yoga instructor after completing the 200-hour, six-month course the studio is starting next month. It’s accredited by the Yoga Alliance, and instructors from Kaya Yoga will teach you all you need to become a skilled yogi, as well as an entrepreneur. It costs Dhs12,500.

The January Challenge
Tone up with the new Lean in ’17 package. This means committing to 17 classes in January for Dhs900. The challenge includes yoga, Pilates, Xtend Barre and dance classes. If you finish them all, you’ll get 17 percent off your next package. It’s time to whip out your mats.
