Popular pub with beer promos and, as the name suggests, plenty of German beer. Nearby sea means that outdoor drinking is recommended.

We turned up around 18:00 on a Thursday and it was pretty empty at the time. All of the outside tables were reserved so we had to make do sitting inside, although this was no terrible thing.
The music varied wildly, sometimes playing cheesy pop songs, other times playing the sort of music you'd expect at a German beer festival. The volume was pretty low anyhow, thus allowing us to talk freely.
Food... woah. I have not had such a nice piece of lamb in years! I ordered the lamb shank, the menu listed it as coming with potato, carrot, parsnip and asparagus. Don't expect much in the way of veggies though, the carrot consisted of two thin strips, one potato the size of a ping pong ball was served, and the others were also in rather small portions. You knew you were eating German though when your eyes landed on the meat. I've only had a lamb shank once before, if that was put next to my Brauhaus lamb, it would be not only in its Shadow, but quivering with fear!
You can't fault the place, but i would suggest if you are a vegetarian, EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE! There are three meat free choices on the menu, and the one that our group settled on was rather bland.
If you arrive and it looks pretty empty, just grab yourself a seat, or a table if you can find one that isn't reserved, enjoy the happy hour that lasts until 8pm, and soon (assuming its a Thursday!) it will be full of people who are generally friendly, and a real international mix.
