We stop by for a chat with Cubes Lounge manager Tarek Ahad…

So, who are you then?
I’m Tarek Antoine Abdul Ahad from Lebanon.

What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Egg and cheese.

How long have you been in Abu Dhabi?
Two months now, I’m brand new.

Cats or dogs?
Definitely cats.

How would you spend your ideal day in Abu Dhabi?
Hitting the town with friends or lounging around with the family

Beach or pool?
Pool, no issues with sand

Tell us about your bar/club?
Mirrored walls, cool lighting and great cocktail staff. It’s a laid back venue early evening but transforms into a high-energy bar depending on what night it is. It’s an intimate place so always has a great atmosphere and we have many regulars. And the food is great, Asian finger food.

Favourite food?
Fish & Chips and Quesadillas

We fancy coming down, what night’s best to try?
Friday night, Simon B from Radio 1 plays progressive and deep house music. It’s rare to find in Abu Dhabi. Great music, great crowd.

Do you have a happy hour?
Yep, from 5-7pm everyday.
