Here is something for the weekend in Al Ain – with light shows, food, music and fun and games on the menu as the Dar Al Zain Festival reaches a fantastic finale.

The curtain will come down on the ten-day extravaganza this Saturday, but there’s plenty to fit before the first ever festival draws to a close at Al Ain Convention Centre.

The outdoor village setting boasts a Fork & Spoon food and beverage zone, featuring more than 30 outlets catering to all tastes, from light bites to heartier meals of all cuisines imaginable.

Visitors can work up an appetite at the all-day and evening events, which are designed for the whole family to enjoy, from play zones and game areas to live music and comedic performances.

If you are looking for a memento of your visit, there are more than 45 retailers exhibiting in the Shopsters flagship retail zone inside the festival village.

Festival-goers can also chill out in the cooler climes while enjoying a show or exploring the Flagship Glow Theme Tunnel and Maze, an amazing celebration of light and colour.

The Dar Al Zain Festival runs from 4pm to midnight today and from 2pm until midnight at the weekend, with tickets priced at Dhs30 at the weekend and Dhs15 today.

Children under 12 years will pay Dhs15 only, while those under 6 get in free. Groups of five or more will benefit from a 20 percent discount on tickets.
