I visited Khalifa Park Abu Dhabi with my family. The Park is specially designed for the kids & moms where they can play & enjoy as much they can. The safe play areas for your kids and relaxing environment for mothers, Women & Children’s at Khalifa Park. When we entered from the main gate into the park, a train was there at the Falcon Gat Station for the Park’s tour. The Grand Avenue is also beautifully place and has access to all the areas of the park. Babbling fountains amid an avenue of carefully pruned trees and vast lawns epitomize the splendour of Khalifa Park. The Maritime Museum traces the history of Abu Dhabi from prehistoric times to the present. A highlight of the museum is the Time Tunnel ride wherein a monorail takes you on a journey of living history – complete with the sights, sounds and smells of yore.

The only bad thing was no tickets available at gate two (near museum) and we have to go walking to gate one to get tickets to enter the maritime museum for which we consumed about fourty five minuts to get in.

it was lovely weather today in abu dhabi so our family decided to go out for a picnic to khalifa park and were quite excited as it was our first time there after having heard so much about it since so long. Unfortunately, once we got there we were thoroughly disappointed, to say the least. This is place is very unlike any park who have ever been to, and struggles to fit into the definition of a park. It is a concrete and stone jungle with patches of grass dotted around. Yes there is a train, which we did not ride and some other activities like a museum, but all in all a really big disappointment. The nail in the coffin was when the gate keeper started shouting on the loudspeaker for everyone to leave the park from 10pm onwards. I dont think we will be visiting again.

absolutely children friendly. Maritime museum interesting, although not in the true sense a maritime musuem, more like a heritage museum of abu dhabi. lovely park and enjoyable train journey. good value for money for school children. not enough shaded shelter around park area though and access to public toilets is limiting.
